Last week VOCAL held two events promoting Respitality to the Hospitality, Tourism and Leisure sector, raising awareness of the project and encouraging new partners to get involved and gift breaks such as; overnight accommodation, afternoon tea, dinners, attraction tickets and much more.
The Sheraton Grand Hotel kindly sponsored VOCAL and Share Care Scotland with meeting space to launch Respitality to Edinburgh providers in partnership with Edinburgh Tourism Action Group (ETAG). Delegates from the Royal Collection, Radical Travel and the Business Gateway where in attendance and the event was a great success with one private Self Catering accommodation provider from St Andrews gifting a fantastic two night break away!
VOCAL where also invited as a guest speaker to Dalkeith Corn Exchange at the Mid Lothian Tourism Board (MTB) speaking to a captive audience some of who are already active with the Respitality project. A great event with lots of networking opportunities, a positive response to Respitality and a lot of interest from potential new providers to support carers to take a break from their caring role.
If you are interested in becoming a Respitality provider or would like to find out more please contact Hayley Burton by email or call 0131 663 6869.
