Group - Social (Brain Injury) - Headway Edinburgh

The Social Group is a member led group which goes out together once a month to do activities in and around Edinburgh City Centre. Any adult with an acquired brain injury in Edinburgh and the Lothians can join the Social Group, subject to an assessment.

The Social Group provides members with an opportunity to come together in the community and take part in activities they are interested in. By doing so, you can build supportive friendships in an informal setting whilst gaining confidence and independence.

There is a set cost for Social Group outings of £10 per outing. This will be payable in advance and will cover costs involved including the activity (excluding travel). Each outing will be for a maximum of 9 members and 3 volunteers/staff. The staff/volunteers will be on hand if you need any help during the activity.

All Social Group outings are chosen by members of the group. Planning and feedback meetings are held every 6 months to allow members to choose the outings for the Social Group. Each month they hope to have two members of the Social Group involved in planning the activity.
