MVA Transport Information

Midlothian Voluntary Action have written a newsletter focusing specifically on getting out and about – Midlothian Special Transport Newsletter/ Guide. July 2014.

They found that at almost every point of consultation with Disabled People and Older People, Transport issues are a recurring theme. Often it can feel difficult to influence positive change. So the positive approach they have taken here is to try to bring together all transport options in one place, so that citizens of Midlothian can have a clearer picture of what choices and options are available to them.

Included is information about;

  • Wheelchairs on public transport
  • National Entitlement Card
  • Accessible Transport in Midlothian
  • Lothian Community Transport Services
  • LCTS Community bus routes
  • Sestran Thistle Card Scheme
  • Taxicard – taxi discount scheme
  • TaxiCard Participating Companies
  • Transport For a Health Appointment
  • Scottish Ambulance Patient Transport
  • British Red Cross Transport Service
  • NHS Lothian Transport Hub
  • The Blue Badge Scheme
  • Helen’s Handy Hints
