Black Diamond Senior's Hour

Bill Prentice from Bonnyrigg and Lasswade Senior Forum brings you a great hour of musical memories and news for the elderly of Midlothian – in their own words this is a programme produced by the elderly for the elderly!

Bill, presents “by the elderly, for the elderly” on Black Diamond every Sunday afternoon, and is believed to be among the oldest broadcasters in the country.  Born in Haddington on February 16th 1923, Bill worked in the printing industry in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Slough before settling in Bonnyrigg in 1984.

Since then, he has been heavily involved in the voluntary sector and is currently chairman of both Bonnyrigg Seniors Social Club and the local branch of the Scottish Pensions Association, as well as secretary of the Bonnyrigg and Lasswade Seniors Forum and a board member at Midlothian Voluntary Action.

Bill is keen to share news and activities and local events on his show each week, if you are part of an active group or wish to advertise your club or event get in touch by emailing info@mvacvs.org.uk.

Tune in on Sundays between 5pm and 6pm to hear Bill!
